Envisioned to be a transitional retreat for parolees, their families and the larger scope of "At Risk" youth. Once it is a reality, JPW3 Ranch and the Jericho Program will provide the safe haven environment to assist families in resolving issues related to incarceration, as well as the general family breakdown found with many youth. The motto “Where the Walls Come Down” refers to Joshua’s victorious march on the city of Jericho. As outlined by God, Joshua and the children of Israel marched around the city for seven days. On the seventh day, at the sound of the trumpets and with a great shout by the people, the walls of Jericho fell down flat. (Joshua 6:1-21) In this manner, JPW3 Ranch and the Jericho Program hopes to provide an extensive support system and retreat environment to allow families to lower their “self defense” system and at the appropriate time, allow the emotional “Walls to Come Down” to bring a victory in the healing of the family relationship. Following the 7-10 day retreat at JPW3 Ranch, the graduating family will receive continued monthly mentoring for the remaining twelve months. This ongoing support system will assist families in maintaining their newfound relationship and growing in critical Christ centered family values. |
